Green Power Program
Green Power - A Resource Of Choice
One by one, your neighbors and local businesses have chosen to make our environment better by enrolling in Idaho Power’s voluntary Green Power Program. It's an easy way to bring green power home.
What is Green Power?
- It’s clean. Green power comes from environmentally-certified projects in the northwest.
- It’s simple. In our program, a $6 monthly purchase is equal to removing one car off the road for an entire year. For each dollar contributed 118 kWh of renewable energy is delivered to the region's power grid.
- It’s in your community. Participation in our Green Power Program supports Solar 4R Schools, bringing solar panels and energy education to area schools.
How Can I Participate?
Decide how much you want to purchase. The amount is added each month to your power bill. The entire amount you designate will be used to purchase green power from renewable projects in the Northwest and to support Solar 4R Schools.
To explore the right level of participation for you, use our 2013 Contribution Calculator.
Once you have determined the right level of participation, sign up today and start counting the difference you’re making.
