2011 Integrated Resource Plan
In June 2011, Idaho Power filed the 2011 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) with the public utilities commissions in Idaho and Oregon.
Public presentations regarding the 2011 IRP will be held in multiple communities across the company's eastern Oregon and southern Idaho service area in August and September 2011.
The 2011 IRP addresses supply-side resources, demand-side measures, planning period load forecasts, potential resource portfolios, risk analysis and near-term and long-term action plans.
Idaho Power worked closely with the Integrated Resource Plan Advisory Council (IRPAC) in the development of the 2011 IRP.
The IRPAC consists of members of the environmental community, major industrial customers, irrigation representatives, state legislators, public utility commission representatives and other interested parties.
The 2011 IRP reflects the combined knowledge and input from the IRPAC members who made significant contributions to this plan.
The 2011 Integrated Resource Plan assumes that during the planning period from 2011 through 2030, Idaho Power will be responsible for acquiring resources sufficient to serve all of its retail customers in its Idaho and Oregon service areas.
