2009 Integrated Resource Plan
The process of preparing the 2009 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) began in July 2008. Idaho Power continues to work with major stakeholder representatives to develop this new plan.
Idaho Power works closely with the Integrated Resource Plan Advisory Council (IRPAC) in the development of the IRP. The IRPAC consists of members of the environmental community, major industrial customers, irrigation representatives, state legislators, public utility commission representatives and other interested parties. The 2009 IRP will reflect the combined knowledge and input from the IRPAC members who will make significant contributions to this plan.
The 2009 Integrated Resource Plan will assume that during the planning period from 2009 through 2028, Idaho Power will be responsible for acquiring resources sufficient to serve all of its retail customers in its Idaho and Oregon service areas and will continue to operate as a vertically-integrated electric utility.
