Power Lines

Idaho Power has more than 4,600 miles of transmission lines transmitting electricity at high voltages, typically 138,000-volts or 230,000-volts, across long distances.

When there is "space available" on a transmission line, like a water pipe that's not full, we transmit electricity for other companies. Idaho Power has an open access transmission policy and provides a wide range of transmission services on a non-discriminatory basis.
